UAE Open 2011 - Men Single Route & Results
Aku frust sebab Ma Lin & Xu Xin kalah. Game Ma Lin masa rubber set tu...9 sama, dia pegang serve. 1st serve dia....terus Mizutani attack & dapat point. 2nd serve dia tak masuk...kalah teruss, memang hari nak kalah ah tu.
Si Xu Xin plak kalah dgn Ma Long 3-4, padahal 4 hari sebelum tu dia blasah Ma Long 4-0 kat semifinal Qatar Open. Tapi bila kat UAE...terus jumpa Ma Long kat Best 16....apa punya draw ahhh....makan semut!!!
At last...Wang Hao jugak yg menang.....

ITTF Qatar Open 2011-Outstanding Xu Xin's Performance
ITTF Pro Tour Qatar Open 2011 closed it curtain with the most waited game between lefthanded Timo Boll vs Xu Xin.
21 years old Xu Xin has shown his masterclass performance en-route to this final. He beat compatriot Wang Liqin 4-0 in Best of 16, to set the mouthwatering quater final clash with World Champion 2010 Wang Hao. Again, he shown the champion built -in mental strength to beat Wang Hao 4-3 after trailing 4-8 in deciding 7th game.
He step up to another level and took fully control to demolish Ma Long 4-0. World No.2 Ma Long has no answer to the outstanding long forehand and backhand of penholder Xu Xin.
After beat Ma Lin in Slovenian Open Final in January, superfast Xu Xin simply outclass World No1 Timo Boll with 4-0 on a level of rarely witnessed in table tennis arena. Timo Boll and Xu Xin had faced each other on 3 occasions in world ranking events prior to the meeting in Doha 2011; on all 3 occasions Xu Xin had won.

The Lone Ranger rides again
Once again the Chinese were simply superb, all four Women’s Singles semi-finals are from China as are both pairs in the Men’s and Women’s Doubles final in ITTF Qatar Open 2011.
Meanwhile in the Men’s Singles event as in the Women’s Singles event the new generation of Chinese players made their presence felt.
Ma Long and Zhang Jike, both 22 years old posted quarter-final victories as did 21 year old Xu Xin.
Three Chinese stars through to the semi-finals, the one remaining place is that filled by Timo Boll, in the company of his final day adversaries, he is very much the senior statesman.
Timo Boll is 30 years old; at least eight years the senior of any potential last day adversary.

How To Execute Forehand Re-Topspin Far From Table
This stroke is used when the player is far from the table -approximately 3-4m (9.8-13.1ft)- and we wants to return an opponent's forehand or backhand topspin.
It is adifficult stroke because it requires good perception, neuromuscular coordination, very good technical knowledge and perfect timing.
The body position is the same with the fast forehand topspin stroke. The legs are bent and open slightly more than a shoulders' width apart while the right arm is slightly bent.
As the ball approaches, the player pivots around the left foot, turns his body towards the right shifting his body weight to the right foot. The right hand stretches and the racket moves to a point slightly behind and below the right knee. The forward counterclockwise movement of the right hand starts from this position, just as it does with the fast forehand topspin.
There is a difference though, in that the racket angle is greater and the hand stops in front of the head a little lower than eye level. The racket contacts the ball after the ball descends from its highest point after it bounces. The left hand follows the body movement and helps keep the balance.
During the movement the body weight is transferred towards thefront so it will help the player execute the stroke. The arm movement speed depends on the playing style and the speed of the ball.
