MPOB has invited KPPj8 players to joint friendly games which was scheduled as per below :-

Beside us, there are 2 other teams invited i.e Team MPKajang and Team Mara as part of their preparation for upcoming “Kejohanan Ping Pong Badan Berkanun 2011” at Terengganu. Game will be played in round robin according to “Badan Berkanun’s format, i.e :-

                1 Men Double (Veteran)

if you're a rpb penholder try to imitate the grip of wang hao or ma lin which is easy to do. by doing rpb you should not grip the blade to hard when hitting the ball loosen the grip for a while then hit it... you should know what is the best for you. which are you comfortable with? if so choose that... and last in every shot you will manage your grip, loosen it or tighten it. hope it helps thanks!

Ok, so I've done some further reviewing today and it turns out that I wasn't holding the bat firm enough by having the last few fingers at the back too low. After changing it, I am getting much higher quality shots both in the forehand and backhand. I would refrain from holding it like Xu Xin, but follow Wang Hao or Malin instead.

2 Teams from Precinct 8 Club participate in the tournament i.e :-

1. Team A : Dr Hisham, Azam, Hamir and Hisham
2. Team B : Hanafi, Hakimi, Marzuki, Ishak and Adi

Team A (Group I) 

First game vs Team Maluri B, Hisham as 1st single player win his first game 3-1. Dr Hisham and Hamir playing double and win by same margin 3-1. Azam was playing as 2nd single and win by 3-0.

Second game vs Banting B...it is a must win game for Team A because Banting B has lost their first game vs KPP Tanjung Malim which is group favorite. Azam played as 1st single but lost to MFaiz 1-3. Dr Hisham and Hamir restored the parity by winning their double game 3-1 then Hisham has no other option than winning his game. Unfortunately, this time Hisham failed to conquer Aiman's consistent top spin and lost 0-3.

Last game in group stage vs KPP Tanjung Malim...and based on the opponent line up, we decided to play Hisham as 2nd single against Safaruddin as we thought he has better change instead of Azam. Thus, Azam again played as 1st single vs well known paddler Sharul Kamal and as expected Azam lost by 1-3. Dr Hisham/Hamir double vs Borhan (Mafia Ipoh)/Ruzaini. In the 1st set, fantastic game was shown by Dr Hisham & Hamir and they win it by 11-9…but failed to maintain the much needed performance and finally lost 1-3 with entertaining games. Hisham playing as 2nd single just to complete the schedule but also lost to Safaruddin 0-3, so that the end of Team A.

Team B (Group D)

Team B was drawn in Group D together with hot favorite Home Team (Syakirin&Faizal Maluri) and Saujana Team (PakTam & Azman Shah)...not much expected from them against top players. In the 1st game, they managed to beat their opponent 2-1. Hakimi was playing as 1st single and deliver the point, Marzuki & Adi played as double but lost then Hanafi grabbed the winning point in 2nd single. In 2nd game vs Team Saujana (PakTam), Hakimi lost as 1st single, Marzuki&Adi also failed as double and same goes to Ishak as 2nd single. 3rd game vs Banting A (Home Team), Hakimi is considered very luck to has the rare opportunity to play against National No.1 Syakirin. In the end, Team B also lost their last game to home team by 0-3 margin.

For those who are yet to pay Tournament Fee (RM5.00), please do it on Tuesday 5th April 2011

Tournament Rules & Regulations :- 

1. Games will be played in Best of Five format according to the ITTF Rules & Regulations
2. Players required to played each other within the same group until all games completed.
3. Top 5 players in each group (Total: 20 players) will qualify for Division A league and the rest will play in Division B league.
4. Any player unable to attend 3 consecutive games day (eg: Tue, Thu and Next Tue) will be automatically removed from the league chart. All previous games played in regard to those player will no be calculated as league results.
