Tournament kick off around 8.30pm 17 June 2011 involving Team P8 B and P8 D only, as Team P8 A and C played on morning 18 June. Team P8 B and D managed to progress to 2nd round knock out stage as group runner-up, it quite a good start for both teams.
Next day (Saturday 18 June), Team P8 A and C started their game respectively. Team P8 A as expected able to come out as group runner-up while Team P8 C unfortunately failed to qualify for 2nd round as they lost 2 of their matches.
Second round knock out stage started in the afternoon. Team P8A was drawn against Bakep Lion. Shahrul played as 1st single but eventually has no answer to the speed and accuracy of sukma's player Boon Yu. Shahrul lost 0-3 although he did played his best game, then come Zunnur trying to level the score against 13 years old Amir. Zunnur also has to taste the same sour as he simply forced to surrender 0-3 to young blood Amir...that the end of journey for Team P8 A. Team P8 B was against Temerloh Kokoland A and it was probably (on paper) not as tough as Bakep Lion. Nizam played as 1st single against Nasir and register a 3-0 win. It was not an easy game as the score shown, Nizam had to put everythings he has to overcame the sturburn Kokoland 's players. Then came Azam playing as 2nd single against Zul. Unfortunately, Azam lost his game 0-3 with entah haper2 performance...its is one of the worst game Azam's ever played in the tournament. Azroul has no other choice to play for...he has to win his game for the team to qualify for next stage, and as expected Azroul able to deliver the killer points and bring the team to 3rd round. Team P8 C was drawn against KLO B. Azamuddin played as 1st single vs Azhar and lost 0-3, while Hanafi as 2nd single also lost 0-3 to Nizam. So....only Team P8 B qualified for 3rd round (best of 16).
In the third round match, Team P8 B vs home team UKM A (FaizalMaluri, Suhaimi & Chinese) and lost 0-2. Team UKM A eventually become a tournament champion, they beat Team Untaken Two (HafisGanu, Faidzal DBKL & Yusri) 2-1 in the final.
In the Individual Double Open, all pairs from KPPj8 are able to qualify to 2nd round at least. The best achievement came from Azam & Nizam as they had to end their journey in 4th round (Best of 16).
