Olympic Champion, Man Lin secured Men's Single Title at Volkswagen Chine Open 2011 on 19 June 2011 in Shenzhen.
He beat compatriot Ma Long in 6 games 10-12, 11-7, 7-11, 11-5, 12-10 and 11-6 in final match. Prior to that, in Semi Final match, he overcame World No1, Wang Hao 4-3 to extend his record for 3 straight wins against Wang Hao, meanwhile, Ma Long beat Wang Liqin in semifinal match.
The last time Ma Lin won a Men's Single title was back in 2008 when he succeeding at Japan Open in May and after that he put an outstanding performance to win gold medal at Olympic Beijing...long spell barren at last rest to end.
