MMU Cyberjaya Table Tennis Tournament 2011


DATES AND VENUE 
The tournament shall be held from  2-3 July, 2011
The Competition Venue shall be at the  Dewan Tun 
Canselor (Grand Hall) of Multimedia University


ENTRY FEE 
Each Team RM150.00


PRIZES 
Champion : Cash prize RM 2,000 + Medals + Trophy
First Runner-up : Cash prize RM 1,200 + Medals
Second Runner-up : Cash prize RM 700 + Medals
Third Runner-up    : Cash prize RM 300 + Medal

  1. Tournament Format
    1. The event shall be played in accordance with a new format as follows.

      Example for a team game,
      Team Alpha vs. Team Beta
      1st single(A)vs1st single(X)
      2nd single(B)vs2nd single(Y)
      3rd single(C)vs3rd single(Z)
      1st single(A)vs2nd single(Y)
      2nd single(B)vs1st single(X)
    2. The preliminary round will be in round-robin basis and the second round will be in knockout basis.
    3. Top 2 teams in each group in the preliminary round will be qualified for the second round (Quarter-final and onwards).
  2. Scoring System
    This tournament will use 5 X 11 scoring system in each tie.
  3. Eligibility
    1. A team shall be composed of a minimum of 3 players and maximum 5 players (Opened to both Male & Female). Must be a Malaysian.
    2. Each team can only have ONE national player (Irrespective of gender).
    3. For a team that has a national player, the player MUST play for the first single.
    4. For teams that DOES NOT consists of national player, order of play is up to the players’ team decision.
    5. A player whose age is more than 60 years old, he/she will be consider as normal player regardless of whether or not he/she was a national player.
  1. Constitution of grouping
    1. Registered team will be divided into 8 groups -- Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H
    2. In preliminary round, round-robin system will be employed. The top 2 teams of each group will be qualified for the quarterfinal.
    3. Starting from quarterfinal onwards, knockout system will be utilized.
  2. Substitution
    1. No change shall be made after the Team Manager had submitted the Order of Play to the Official Desk.
    2. Official Desk have the right to disqualify the entire team who make changes personally on their players on the tournament day if found out that the player registered has been replaced by other player. There will be no negotiation.
  3. Disqualification
    1. For any match been disqualified by the Head of Umpire, the team will concede a point from the opponent team.
    2. The Organizer has the right to disqualify any game, tie or team.
  4. Appeal
    1. Appeal against a decision must provide a formal letter of appeal addressed to the organizing committee board, enclosed with processing fee of RM 50 not later than 30 minutes after the decision is made.
    2. Board of Organizing Committee has the right to make the final decision.
  5. Opening Ceremony
    1. All participation teams must attend the Opening Ceremony scheduled by the organizer.
    2. Players must wear proper attire during the ceremony:
      1. Track suit or track bottom
      2. Event’s T-shirt
  6. Closing Ceremony
    Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up and 3rd runner-up must attend the Closing Ceremony scheduled by the organizer. Teams who wish to witness the ceremony are welcomed.
  7. Draw Lots
    Draw lots session will be held one week before tournament. (24th June 2011)
  8. Registration Procedure and Guidelines
    1. This event shall accommodate up to a maximum of 50 teams.
    2. The registration fee for each team is RM 150.00.
    3. All payment can be made by:
      1. Online Transfer
      2. Cheque
      3. Postal
      4. Bank Draft
      5. Cash
    4. Registration is based on first come first serve basis. A complete registration consist of:
      1. Submitting registration form
      2. Payment successfully received by registration director
    5. Please send the completed registration form and payment to the registration director, Teh Jin Hao (0126725002) or Chen Kwan Wai (0169752866) or Lim Sze Mun (0172881434) Address, payment account will be provided in the registration form.
    6. Upon receiving of payment, receipt will be issued to the manager.
    7. Closing date for the registration is on 18th June 2011.

ok...sorang tarik diri...lagi 50org ahli KPPj8, dok kan tarik diri blake...tapi kalu KPPj8 leh sponser sikit kan besss...sbb fee dia agak mahal, rm150/team tuuu
