Friendly Games with MPOB, MARA and MPKj

On 16th April 2011, P8 players went for friendly game with MPOB, MARA and MPKj. The event was started on 9.00am held at MPOB Hall Bangi. P8 were representing by Azam, ManTopi, Ishak, Noor Amin, Hazrizad, Ezad and Masayu while one of our regular player, ManGanu played for MPOB. It was a round robin format with a Final Match between 1st and 2ns places to decide the Overall Winner.

Game started on 9.30am after all players having their breakfast provided by the organiser i.e MPOB. P8 first match was against MARA. Azam played as Men Single and win his first game by 3-1. ManTopi and Masayu combined as Mix Double but lost 1-3. Ishak and Noor Amin played as Veteran Double and also lost 1-3. Hazrizad and Ezad able to restore the parity with 3-0 win in Men Double, then Masayu delivered the match point by winning her Women Single 3-0, thus the final result P8 (3) - MARA (2).

Second match versus MPOB. In the Men Single, Azam lost 2-3 againts Harris Terlaris. ManTopi and Masayu win their Mix Double 3-1. Ishak and Noor Amin lost againt in Veteran Double. Hazrizad and Ezad like before turn to be the saviour by winning the Men Double beating Arib and Nuzul 3-2 to level the overall score 2-2. In deciding match, Masayu delivered the winning point as expected and the final result MPOB (2) - P8 (3).

Third match versus MPKj. After winning our previous 2 matches, the level of confident are at the highest point. Azam managed to win the first point in Men Single 3-0 and same goes to ManTipo and Masayu in Mix Double. Ishak and Noor Amin at last able to register the first win 3-2 in Veteran Double before Hazrizad and Ezad finished off the match by winning their Men Double 3-0. In Women Single, it was an upset result as Masayu lost 0-3, but final result MPKj (1) - P8 (4).

As the organiser want to have so call Final Match to decide the Overall Winner between 1st place (P8) and 2nd place (MPOB), Azam as usual played as Men Single and grab the 1st point by beating Zainal 3-0. ManTopi and Masayu win Mix Double 3-1, Ishak and Noor Amin lost Veteran Double 0-3 but Hazrizad and Ezad win the Overall Winner's point by beating Nizam and ManGanu in Men Double. Final Result, MPOB (1) - P8 (3)...
